حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: بَعَثَ إِلَيَّ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ فِي مَرَضِهِ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقَالَ لِي: إِنِّي كُنْتُ أُحَدِّثُكَ بِأَحَادِيثَ لَعَلَّ اللهَ يَنْفَعُكَ بِهَا بَعْدِي، وَاعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيَّ، فَإِنْ عِشْتُ فَاكْتُمْ عَلَيَّ، وَإِنْ مِتُّ فَحَدِّثْ إِنْ شِئْتَ وَاعْلَمْ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ " جَمَعَ بَيْنَ حَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنْزِلْ فِيهَا كِتَابٌ، وَلَمْ يَنْهَ عَنْهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " قَالَ فِيهَا رَجُلٌ بِرَأْيِهِ مَا شَاءَ. Translation
English translation
Mutarrif bin Abdullah says that Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) sent for me during his illness of death. I went to him and he said: I have narrated many ahadith to you, from which it is possible that after me Allah will benefit you, and also include this in your knowledge that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to greet me with salam as long as I was alive. Keep this hidden, and when I die, if you wish, then you may narrate it.
