حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَمْرَةَ يَقُولُ: جَاءَنِي زَهْدَمٌ فِي دَارِي فَحَدَّثَنِي قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ يُحَدِّثُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ خَيْرَكُمْ قَرْنِي "، فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " وَيَخُونُونَ وَلَا يُؤْتَمَنُونَ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Hajjaj narrated to us, Shu’bah informed us, he said: I heard Abu Jamrah say: Zahdam came to me in my house and narrated to me, he said: I heard Imran ibn Husayn narrate that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The best of you are my generation." And he mentioned something similar except that he said: "And they betray and are not to be trusted."
