حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفًا قَالَ:، ، قَالَ لِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ: إِنِّي أُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا عَسَى اللهُ أَنْ يَنْفَعَكَ بِهِ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ " جَمَعَ بَيْنَ حَجٍّ وَعُمْرَةٍ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَنْهَ عَنْهُ حَتَّى مَاتَ، وَلَمْ يَنْزِلْ قُرْآنٌ فِيهِ يُحَرِّمُهُ " وَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيَّ فَلَمَّا اكْتَوَيْتُ أَمْسَكَ عَنِّي، فَلَمَّا تَرَكْتُهُ عَادَ إِلَيَّ (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
Mutarrif says that once Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me, "I will narrate to you a hadith, perhaps Allah will benefit you through it, and it is this: The Prophet (ﷺ) combined Hajj and Umrah in one journey, then he did not prohibit it until his passing, nor was any command regarding its prohibition revealed in the Qur'an. And the Prophet (ﷺ) used to greet me first; when I underwent treatment through cauterization, the Prophet (ﷺ) stopped (greeting me), then when I abandoned that practice, the Prophet (ﷺ) started greeting me again."
