حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا الْمُسْلِمَانِ تَوَاجَهَا بِسَيْفَيْهِمَا فَقَتَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ فَهُمَا فِي النَّارِ ". قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، هَذَا الْقَاتِلُ مَا بَالُ الْمَقْتُولِ؟ قَالَ: " إِنَّهُ أَرَادَ قَتْلَ صَاحِبِهِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When two Muslims come face to face with swords drawn and one of them kills the other, then both the killer and the killed will go to Hell. Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah! (ﷺ) The matter of the killer is understandable, but what about the killed one?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: He also intended to kill his companion.
