Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) sent him and Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) to Yemen and said: Give glad tidings, do not spread aversion, make things easy, do not create difficulties, obey one another, and do not differ among yourselves. It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) sent me towards Yemen. I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! (ﷺ) There are some drinks prevalent there, for example, there is a barley-based nabidh called 'mizr' and a honey-based nabidh called 'tuba'." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Every intoxicating thing is forbidden."
