حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنْ الْمُطَّلِبِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ أَحَبَّ دُنْيَاهُ أَضَرَّ بِآخِرَتِهِ، وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ آخِرَتَهُ أَضَرَّ بِدُنْيَاهُ، فَآثِرُوا مَا يَبْقَى عَلَى مَا يَفْنَى " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever prefers the world, his Hereafter suffers loss, and whoever prefers the Hereafter, his worldly life suffers loss. So you should give preference to that which is everlasting over that which is perishable.
