حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: قَدِمَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ الْأَشْعَرِيِّينَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: فَجَعَلَا يُعَرِّضَانِ بِالْعَمَلِ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ أَخْوَنَكُمْ عِنْدِي مَنْ يَطْلُبُهُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that two men from my tribe came with me. During the conversation, both of them requested an office. Upon this, the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The greatest traitor in my sight among you is the one who seeks an office."
