حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْعُمَيْسِ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: كَانَ يَوْمُ عَاشُورَاءَ يَوْمًا تَصُومُهُ (١) الْيَهُودُ تَتَّخِذُهُ (٢) عِيدًا. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " صُومُوهُ أَنْتُمْ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Jews used to fast on the day of Ashura and celebrated it as a festival. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: You should also fast on this day.
