Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَجْلَحُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ (١) بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ: مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَشِئْتَ، فَقَالَ: " بَلْ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn "Abbas that
the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed in an open space with nothing in front of him.
