حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ مِنْ وَرَائِكُمْ أَيَّامًا يَنْزِلُ فِيهَا الْجَهْلُ وَيُرْفَعُ فِيهَا الْعِلْمُ، وَيَكْثُرُ فِيهَ الْهَرْجُ ". قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَمَا الْهَرْجُ؟ قَالَ: " الْقَتْلُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
Shaqiq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I was sitting with Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), discussing hadith. Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Before the Day of Judgment, there will come a time when knowledge will be taken away and ignorance will descend, and 'harj' will become widespread, which means killing."
