حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ حَرْمَلَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: " أَمَانَانِ كَانَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، رُفِعَ أَحَدُهُمَا وَبَقِيَ الْآخَرُ، وَ {مَا كَانَ اللهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ}، ، [الأنفال: ٣٣] وَ {مَا كَانَ اللهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ} (١) [الأنفال: ٣٣] "،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), there were two kinds of protection, one of which has been lifted and the other remains: (1) Allah Almighty would not punish them while you are present among them; (2) Allah will not punish them as long as they continue to seek forgiveness.
