حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي الْعُمَرِيَّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أُحِلَّ لِإِنَاثِ أُمَّتِي الْحَرِيرُ وَالذَّهَبُ، وَحُرِّمَ عَلَى ذُكُورِهَا " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) once raised silk in his right hand and gold in his left hand and said: "Both of these are permissible for the women of my Ummah and forbidden for the men."
