Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، أَخْبَرَنِي عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِذَا وَقَعَتْ رَمِيَّتُكَ فِي الْمَاءِ،، فَغَرَقَ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: If your hunted animal falls into water and drowns, then do not eat it.
