Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَجِبْتُ مِمَّنْ يَتَقَدَّمُ الشَّهْرَ، وَقَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "، ، لَا تَصُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ "، أَوْ قَالَ: " صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Sa’eed bin al-Huwairith, who heard Ibn "Abbas (say).
We were with the Prophet (ﷺ) and he went to the outhouse, then he came out and called for food - on one occasion he said: food was brought - and it was said: O Messenger of Allah, aren"t you going to do wudoo? He said: "I am not going to pray such that I needed to do wudoo’."
