Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that several companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) had doors opening towards Masjid Nabawi. One day, the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Close all the doors except the door of Ali." Upon this, some people talked among themselves. Then the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) stood up, praised Allah, and after saying 'Amma Ba'd', said: "Some of you object to my order to close all the doors except the door of Ali. By Allah! I do not open or close anything on my own accord, but I have been commanded, and I follow that command."
