حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يُعْمَلُ فِيهِمْ بِالْمَعَاصِي هُمْ أَعَزُّ مِنْهُمْ وَأَمْنَعُ، لَا يُغَيِّرُونَ إِلَّا عَمَّهُمُ اللهُ تَعَالَى بِعِقَابِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whenever a people commit a sin, and among them is an honorable and respected person who does not stop them, then Allah's punishment descends upon all of them."
