Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، أَنَّهُ بَالَ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ، وَصَلَّى، فَسُئِلَ (٤) عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ هَذَا " قَالَ: وَكَانَ يُعْجِبُهُمْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ، مِنْ أَجْلِ أَنَّ جَرِيرًا كَانَ مِنْ آخِرِ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ (٥)، ،
Translation
English translation
Ibrahim says that the hadith scholars attach great importance to this hadith because Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) accepted Islam after the revelation of the verse of wudu in Surah Al-Ma'idah.
