حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شِبْلٍ، (١) عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا أَبَقَ الْعَبْدُ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ الذِّمَّةُ " (٢)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: "If any slave runs away from his master, no one remains responsible for him; the responsibility ends."
