حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ إِلَى ذِي الْخَلَصَةِ، فَكَسَرَهَا وَحَرَّقَهَا بِالنَّارِ، ثُمَّ بَعَثَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَحْمَسَ يُقَالُ لَهُ: بُشَيْرٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُبَشِّرُهُ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) sent him towards an idol named "Dhi al-Khalasah." He broke it and burned it in fire, then sent a man named Bashir from the tribe of Ahmas to the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) to give him this glad tidings.
