حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، " أَنَّهُ حِينَ بَايَعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَخَذَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ لَا يُشْرِكَ بِاللهِ، ، شَيْئًا، وَيُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةَ، وَيُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَاةَ، وَيَنْصَحَ الْمُسْلِمَ، وَيُفَارِقَ الْمُشْرِكَ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) that at the time of accepting Islam, he took the pledge from the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) on the condition that he would not associate anyone with Allah, would perform the obligatory prayers, pay the obligatory zakat, wish well for every Muslim, and express disavowal from the disbeliever.
