حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِهِ، فَرَأَيْتُ عِنْدَهُ قَرْعًا فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا هَذَا؟ قَالَ: هَذَا " قَرْعٌ نُكَثِّرُ بِهِ طَعَامَنَا " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Jabir Ahmisi (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), and there was gourd (pumpkin) with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). I asked, "What is this?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) replied, "With this, we increase our food."
