Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، وَالثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا تَوَضَّأْتَ فَانْثِرْ، وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرْتَ فَأَوْتِرْ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Salamah bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet said to me: When you perform ablution, clean your nose, and when you use stones for istinja, use an odd number of stones.
