Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ بَكْرٍ، عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ قَالَ: مَرَّ بِي يَهُودِيٌّ وَأَنَا قَائِمٌ خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،، ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ (١) يَتَوَضَّأُ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: ارْفَعْ أَوْ اكْشِفْ ثَوْبَهُ عَنْ ظَهْرِهِ، قَالَ: فَذَهَبْتُ (٢) بِهِ أَرْفَعُهُ، قَالَ: " فَنَضَحَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فِي وَجْهِي مِنَ (٣) الْمَاءِ " (٤)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Miswar (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a Jew passed by me while I was standing behind the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and the Prophet (ﷺ) was performing ablution. The Jew said, "Remove his garment from his back." When I moved forward to remove it, the Prophet (ﷺ) sprinkled water on my face.
