Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Tariq bin Suwayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that I submitted in the court of Prophethood, "O Messenger of Allah! We live in a region of grapes; can we extract them (and drink their wine)?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No." I repeated my question, and the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) again said, "No." I submitted, "Can we give it to a patient as a treatment?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There is no cure in it; rather, it is pure disease." The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
