Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفٌ، عَنِ أَبِي الْجَهْمِ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ: " إِنِّي لَأَطُوفُ عَلَى إِبِلٍ ضَلَّتْ لِي فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَنَا أَجُولُ فِي أَبْيَاتٍ، فَإِذَا أَنَا بِرَكْبٍ وَفَوَارِسَ، إِذْ جَاءُوا، فَطَافُوا بِفِنَائِي، فَاسْتَخْرَجُوا رَجُلًا، فَمَا سَأَلُوهُ، وَلَا كَلَّمُوهُ، حَتَّى ضَرَبُوا عُنُقَهُ، فَلَمَّا ذَهَبُوا، سَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ، فَقَالُوا: عَرَّسَ بِامْرَأَةِ أَبِيهِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ), once my camel got lost. I was going around different houses in search of it when suddenly I saw some horsemen. They came and surrounded the house in which I was. They took out a man from it, neither asked him anything nor spoke to him, but without any delay, they beheaded him. When they left, I inquired about him, and people told me that he had married his father’s wife.
