حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَكَتَبَ بِهِ إِلَيَّ قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْثَرُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ بُرْدٍ، أَخِي يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ تَبِعَ جِنَازَةً حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهَا كَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ قِيرَاطٌ، وَمَنْ مَشَى مَعَ الْجِنَازَةِ حَتَّى تُدْفَنَ، وَقَالَ مَرَّةً: حَتَّى يُدْفَنَ، كَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ قِيرَاطَانِ، وَالْقِيرَاطُ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever accompanies a funeral and participates in the funeral prayer will receive the reward of one qirat, and whoever remains with the funeral until the burial will receive the reward of two qirats, and each qirat is equal to Mount Uhud. The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
