حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ: " كَانَ فِيمَا اشْتَرَطَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَهَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ بِسِلَاحٍ، إِلَّا سِلَاحٍ فِي قِرَابٍ " (١)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) made peace with the people of Makkah on the condition that they would enter Makkah only carrying sheathed weapons, that is, the scabbard and the sword.
