Translation

English translation

A man from the tribe of Qais asked Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him), “Did you people run away and leave the Prophet (ﷺ) at the time of the Battle of Hunain?” Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) replied, “The Prophet (ﷺ) did not run away. In fact, some hasty people fled, so the people of Banu Hawazin started showering arrows from the front. At that time, I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) riding a white mule, whose reins were held by Abu Sufyan bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him), and the Prophet (ﷺ) was saying, ‘I am the true Prophet, there is no lie in this. I am the son of Abdul Muttalib.’”
