حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: " مَنْ مَنَحَ مَنِيحَةً وَرِقًا، أَوْ ذَهَبًا، أَوْ سَقَى (١) لَبَنًا، أَوْ هَدَى زِقَاقًا، فَهُوَ كَعَدْلِ رَقَبَةٍ " (٢)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) saying: Whoever gives a gift to someone, such as silver or gold, or gives milk to someone, or gives a water-skin to someone, it is as if he has freed a slave.
