Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ الطَّائِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Save yourselves from the fire of Hell, even if it be by giving only a piece of a date."
