Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "If I release my dog for hunting and upon reaching there I find another dog along with mine, and I do not know which of the two hunted the prey, what should I do?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not eat it, because when you released your dog, you took the name of Allah, but you did not take it for the other dog." The previous hadith is also narrated through this other chain.
