Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) dismounted from his ride and went to relieve himself. After a short while, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) returned. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked, “Do you have water?” I presented water to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and kept pouring it. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) first washed both hands thoroughly, then washed his face. After that, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) began to roll up the sleeves of his arms, but the Syrian cloak that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) was wearing had tight sleeves, so they could not be rolled up. Therefore, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) took both hands out from underneath, and washed his face and hands, wiped his head up to the extent of the forehead, wiped over his turban, and wiped over his leather socks, and then mounted for the return. When we reached the people, the prayer had already started, and Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) had led one rak’ah and was in the second rak’ah. He began to step back, but the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) signaled to him to complete the prayer, and after finishing the prayer, said, “You did well, do like this.”
