Original Arabic
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْجَزَرِيِّ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَذَاهُ الْقَمْلُ فِي رَأْسِهِ، فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَحْلِقَ رَأْسَهُ، وَقَالَ: " صُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ، أَوْ أَطْعِمْ سِتَّةَ مَسَاكِينَ، مُدَّيْنِ مُدَّيْنِ لِكُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ، أَوْ انْسُكْ بِشَاةٍ، أَيَّ ذَلِكَ فَعَلْتَ أَجْزَأَكَ (١) " (٢)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he was with the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) and the lice on his head were causing him great distress. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) ordered him to shave his head and said: "Fast for three days, or feed six needy people, each with two mudd of food, or offer a sacrifice of one goat. Whatever you do will suffice for you."
