Translation

English translation

Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) once sought permission to meet Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her). Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) granted him permission. He asked, "Is Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) here?" She replied, "No." Upon this, he left. The second time, Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was present, so he went inside. Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) asked him the reason for seeking permission, so Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade us from going to women without the husband's permission.
