حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو الثُّمَالِيِّ، قَالَ: بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعِي هَدْيًا وَقَالَ: "، ، إِذَا عَطِبَ شَيْءٌ مِنْهَا فَانْحَرْهُ ثُمَّ اضْرِبْ نَعْلَهُ فِي دَمِهِ، ثُمَّ اضْرِبْ بِهِ صَفْحَتَهُ، وَلَا تَأْكُلْ أَنْتَ وَلَا أَهْلُ رُفْقَتِكَ، وَخَلِّ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Amr bin Khariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about the sacrificial animal that is near death. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Slaughter it, dye its hoof in its blood, and apply it to its forehead or side, and neither you nor your companions should eat anything from it; rather, leave it among the people.
