حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ،، ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَارِجَةَ الثُّمَالِيِّ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْهَدْيِ يَعْطَبُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " انْحَرْ، وَاصْبُغْ نَعْلَهُ فِي دَمِهِ، وَاضْرِبْ بِهِ عَلَى صَفْحَتِهِ - أَوْ قَالَ: عَلَى جَنْبِهِ (١) - وَلَا تَأْكُلَنَّ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا، أَنْتَ وَلَا أَهْلُ رُفْقَتِكَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Amr bin Khariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about the sacrificial animal that is near death. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Slaughter it, dye its hoof in its blood, and apply it to its forehead or side, and neither you nor your companions should eat anything from it.
