حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبِي أَنَسٍ، مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ الْمُطَّلِبِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الصَّلَاةُ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى، وَتَشَهَّدُ وَتُسَلِّمُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَتَبَأَّسُ، وَتَمَسْكَنُ، وَتُقْنِعُ يَدَيْكَ وَتَقُولُ: اللهُمَّ اللهُمَّ، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Mutlib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: (Nafl) prayer is performed in sets of two rak'ahs; after every two rak'ahs, recite the tashahhud, express your needs and humility, and spread your hands and say, "O Allah! O Allah!" and make supplication. Whoever does not do so, his prayer is incomplete.
