Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ،، ، عَنْ حُبْشِيِّ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " عَلِيٌّ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ، وَلَا يُؤَدِّي عَنِّي إِلَّا أَنَا أَوْ عَلِيٌّ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Hubshi bin Junadah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was among the participants of the Farewell Pilgrimage, that I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Ali is from me and I am from him, and regarding my message (which was addressed to the polytheists), either I myself can deliver it or Ali can deliver it."
