Musnad Ahmad Hadith 17388

It is narrated from Abu Abdur Rahman Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day we were sitting with the Prophet (ﷺ) when two riders appeared. The Prophet (ﷺ) saw them and said, "They belong to the tribe of Kinda, from the clan of Madhhij." When they came near, indeed they were both from Madhhij. One of them advanced to pledge allegiance to the Prophet (ﷺ), took the blessed hand of the Prophet (ﷺ) in his own hands and said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), tell me, the person who has seen you, believed in you, affirmed you, and followed you, what will he receive?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Glad tidings for him." He passed his hand over the blessed hand of the Prophet (ﷺ) and went back. Then the second one advanced, took the blessed hand of the Prophet (ﷺ) to pledge allegiance, and said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), tell me, if someone believes in you, affirms you, and follows you, but is unable to see you, what will he receive?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said three times, "Glad tidings for him." He passed his hand over the blessed hand of the Prophet (ﷺ) and went back.
