حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا هشامٌ (٢) ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " عُهْدَةُ الرَّقِيقِ أَرْبَعُ لَيَالٍ "، ، قَالَ قَتَادَةُ: " وَأَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ يَقُولُونَ: ثَلَاثُ لَيَالٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The responsibility for a slave remains for four days.
