حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ أُمِّي مَاتَتْ، وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ عَنْهَا. قَالَ: " أَمَرَتْكَ؟ " قَالَ: لَا. قَالَ: " فَلَا تَفْعَلْ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the service of the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "My mother has passed away and I want to give some charity on her behalf." The Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, "Did she command you to do so?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then do not do it."
