حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ، يَزْعُمُ عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ، وابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - أَوْ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا - أَنَّهُ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مِنْ أَجْلِ جَنَازَةِ يَهُودِيٍّ مُرَّ بِهَا عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: " آذَانِي رِيحُهَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Husain and Ibn "Abbas, or from one of them, that he said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood up because of the funeral of a Jew that passed by him and said, "Its smell bothered me.”
