Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الْخِفَافُ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: ذَكَرَ أَنَّ قَيْسًا الْجُذَامِيَّ حَدَّثَ (٢) ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "، ، مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُؤْمِنَةً، فَهِيَ فِكَاكُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever frees a Muslim slave, it will become a means of freedom from Hell for him.
