حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْمَعَافِرِيُّ، عَمَّنْ، سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ، يَقُولُ: " بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَاعِيًا، فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُهُ أَنْ نَأْكُلَ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَأَذِنَ لَنَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) sent me to collect Zakat. I asked for permission to eat from the animals of Zakat, so the Prophet (ﷺ) granted us permission.
