حَدِيثُ سَعْدٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، ١٧١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ يَعْنِي أَبَا دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيَّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْخَزَّازُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: قَدَّمْتُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَمْرًا، فَجَعَلُوا يَقْرُنُونَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَقْرُنُوا " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from alHasan that Sa"d, the freed slave of Abu Bakr, said:
I brought some dates to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and they started taking two at a time. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Do not take two at a time.”
