حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَمَّنْ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَتَى عَلَى رَجُلٍ يَحْتَجِمُ فِي الْبَقِيعِ لِثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ خَلَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، وَهُوَ آخِذٌ بِيَدِي، فَقَالَ: " أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a man was having cupping done on the eighteenth night of Ramadan, when the Prophet (ﷺ) passed by him at the place of Baqi‘, and at that time the Prophet (ﷺ) was holding my hand. Seeing him in this state, the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The one who does cupping and the one who gets it done, both their fasts are broken."
