Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ رُؤْبَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْوَاحِدِ النَّصْرِيَّ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ، يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " الْمَرْأَةُ تَحُوزُ ثَلَاثَةَ مَوَارِيثَ: عَتِيقَهَا، وَلَقِيطَهَا، وَالْوَلَدَ الَّذِي لَاعَنَتْ عَلَيْهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Wathilah bin Asqa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “A woman inherits in three ways: from her freed slave, from a miscarried child, and from the child for whom she has undergone li’an (mutual cursing).”
