حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، وَأَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْوَاحِدِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ النَّصْرِيَّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ مِنْ أَعْظَمِ الْفِرَى أَنْ يُدْعَى الرَّجُلُ إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ، أَوْ يُرِيَ عَيْنَيْهِ فِي الْمَنَامِ مَا لَمْ تَرَيَا (٣) ، أَوْ يَقُولَ: عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا لَمْ يَقُلْ " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Wathilah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: The greatest slanders are three things: One is that a person slanders his own eyes and says, "I saw such and such in a dream," while he did not see it; the second is that a person slanders his parents and attributes himself to someone other than his father; and the third is that someone says he heard something from me, while he did not hear it from me.
