Musnad Ahmad Hadith 16964

It is narrated from Salamah bin Nufail (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when someone asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Has food from the sky also come to you?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: "Yes." He asked: "What was it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Food prepared from flour." He asked: "Is any of it left?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: "Yes!" He asked: "What happened to it?" He said: "It was taken up, and revelation has been sent to me that I am about to depart from you and will not remain among you for long. And after me, you too will remain for some time, rather you will remain so long that you will begin to say, 'When will death come?' Then such calamities will befall you that you will destroy one another yourselves, and before the Hour, a very severe series of deaths will begin, and after that, years of earthquakes will come."
