Translation

English translation

Once, Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) delivered a sermon before the people in "Hamees" and during his speech mentioned that the Prophet (ﷺ) had declared seven things to be forbidden. I am conveying that message to you and I also forbid you from them: wailing, poetry, images, excessive adornment by women, the skins of predatory animals, gold, and silk.
